Terms and Conditions

Guests visiting Avalone Guest House do so at their own risk. The Proprietors, their Agents and their Employees will not be liable for any claims of whatever nature. All Guests hereby waiver and abandon any claims which may arise including, but not limited to theft – injury – loss and/or damage of whatever nature, against the Proprietors, their Agents and/or their Employees, whether arising from default, negligence or otherwise.

The guest/s, in addition to the aforesaid, hereby indemnify the Proprietor against any claims which may arise from whatever nature, whether arising from the Proprietor’s default, negligence or otherwise.

Whilst every endeavour is made in terms of the above recommendation to provide for the exclusion of an innkeeper’s liability, such liability or exclusion thereof is never absolute and is always subject to a matter of degree and the application of an appropriate court’s discretion.

It should also be borne in mind that the court’s discretion is applied judicially but subject to the credibility and worthiness of appropriate evidence.

Please Note – That all Guests are responsible for all their valuables i.e. Jewellery / Money / Tablets & Cell Phones, there are safes in every room for just this purpose.

We do have a BREAK and PAY Policy.

Children and Guest Behaviour

It should be noted that while children are accepted their behaviour should not cause other guests discomfort in any way. The owners have sole discretion in determining whether behaviour is acceptable or not.

Guest Identification

Guests are expected to prove their identity by showing a valid passport or identify book and must complete the check in procedures.

Privacy Policy

Avalone Guest House supports the right of personal privacy and corporate security on the Internet. Avalone Guest House will never sell or market names, e-mail addresses, or any other privileged information about our clients, guests or subscribers.

Room Allocations

Avalone reserves the right to change room allocations, which are usually based on guest requirements, length of stay and occupancy levels. Should you specifically require a specific room please make this clear in your request.

 Cancellation Policy & Terms:

If cancellation is made 29+ days before date of arrival, 50% of deposit paid or 25% of full original booking (whichever greater) will apply.
If cancellation is made 15 – 28 days before date of arrival, 75% of deposit paid or 25% of full original booking (whichever greater) will apply.
If cancellation is less than 14 days before date of arrival, full deposit forfeiture will apply.
If cancellation is made less than 5 days before date of arrival, full accommodation charge will apply.
If a no-show occurs, for whatever reason, full deposit forfeiture and balance of accommodation will apply.
If there is a premature departure, for whatever reason, the charge for the full original booking will apply.

Administration Charges.
A 10% administration fee on any refund processed will apply. In addition to the above administration fee, all related bank charges will be deducted from refunds. International SWIFT bank account transactions incur an additional R185.00 charge which will also be deducted from refunds.

Deposit
We require a 50% deposit within 72 hours to secure the accommodation and the balance to be paid on arrival.

Bookings will be automatically deleted if deposit is not received.

We do accept Master and Visa cards for deposits. Alternatively, cash or EFT

If residing locally – you can do an internet banking transfer which does not incur any additional transfer charges. You can also do a money deposit into the bank however the banking charges for this transaction is for your account.

If residing overseas – you can do an international banking transfer – however – overseas banking transfers incur foreign exchange costs for your account.

Note: Regrettably we do not accept cheque deposits!

Once we have received the deposit, the booking will be confirmed.
Please let us know your estimated time of arrival. Normal Check-in time is from 2.00pm to 6:00pm. Normal Check-out is 10:00am. Other arrival/departure times must be arranged in advance. Late check-ins without prior notice may result in a late-check-in fee being imposed.
